As a shop assistant, you will be responsible for providing vital assistance to our machinists and ensuring efficient operations within the shop. Your primary responsibilities will include material handling and general support tasks. You will work closely with the machining team to facilitate the production process and uphold our quality standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mechanical assembling
• Deburring of parts
• Light local driving
• Shipping and receiving
• Assisting where directed by manager

EXPERIENCE:

• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in material handling, machine setup, and quality inspection.
• Organization and Time Management: Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues, take instructions, and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety guidelines and promoting a safe working environment.
• Local Driving Deliveries: Take responsibility for local driving deliveries, transporting machined parts and materials between the shop and designated locations. Ensure timely and safe delivery while maintaining accurate documentation of delivery records.
• Prior experience in a machine shop environment not required.
